A Look at the Past

GPC began on November 1, 1992 when Pastor Curtis Leins and his family held our first service in the Music Room of the Gilpin Manor Elementary School.  Pastor Leins had served as a denominational minister for fourteen years.  But, he was led by God to begin a new church.  From the beginning, GPC has been characterized by spirited worship, biblical teaching, home group ministry, evangelical outreach, Christian education, and personal fellowship.

A Look at the Present

By God’s grace, GPC continues to grow.  Our members are growing in their personal relationship with Jesus and their fellowship and service with one another.  Also, we are growing in numbers as more and more people in our area come to a saving knowledge of Jesus and develop a deeper experience of the Christian faith.

A Look at the Future

We are outgrowing our current facilities, but we have not outgrown our desire to impact more people for the sake of the Kingdom.  So, we are building a new church campus on 37 acres of land, off of Route 40 in Elkton, MD.  Our property is located 2 miles west of the Delaware/Maryland line on Route 40, at Maloney Road.  We hope to enter our new facilities in 2008!
