Practical and Biblical Preaching
GPC teaches that Scripture is God's inspired and inerrant Word to His people (2 Tim. 3:16). If you would like to learn about the love of Jesus for you personally, and the promises of God to all of His children, Glorious Presence Church is for you!
Energetic and Exciting Worship
Worship at GPC is spirited and enthusiastic (Ps. 100)! If you would like a Worship Band to lead you in contemporary songs of praise and worship, Glorious Presence Church is for you!
Genuine and Caring People
Jesus teaches us to live in LOVE. Anyone who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen (I John 4:20). If you are looking for a community where people help and care for one another, Glorious Presence Church is for you!
What We Believe
The Bible
Glorious Presence Church accepts all of the canonical books of the Old and New Testaments as a whole and in all their parts as the divinely inspired, revealed, and inerrant Word of God. It is our joy to submit to God's Word as the only infallible authority in all matters of faith and life.
God, the Father
We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen.
God, the Son
We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father. Through Him all things were made. For us and for our salvation He came down from heaven; by the power of the Holy Spirit He became incarnate from the Virgin Mary, and was made man. For our sake He was crucified under Pontius Pilate; He suffered death and was buried. On the third day He rose again in accordance with the Scriptures; He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and His kingdom will have no end.
God, the Holy Spirit
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son. With the Father and the Son He is worshipped and glorified. He has spoken through the prophets. We believe in one holy catholic (Christian) and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come.
Worship
The Bible encourages God's people to praise the Lord with songs, lifted hands, clapping, dance, and all of our strength. God is enthroned on the praises of His people (Psalm 22:3). Scripture admonishes us to worship and bow down, to kneel before the Lord our Maker (Psalm 95:6). We are invited into the beauty of His holiness (Psalm 96:9). Indeed, by faith in Jesus Christ and by His blood, we may enter with confidence into the holy place (Hebrews 10:19). Our God shares His glorious presence with us when we worship!
Prayers and Healing
God's Word admonishes us to be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving to let our requests be made known to God (Phil. 4:6). As God's dearly beloved children, we approach Him boldly and confidently in prayer knowing that He knows our needs before we ask. Still, He has commanded us to pray and has promised to hear us. Our petitions to God include the expectation of His blessing and mercy regarding every aspect of our lives: body and soul, finances and property, relationships and reputation. We believe in God's power to heal the body, cleanse the soul, defeat the devil, and graciously to give faith unto eternal life.
Missionaries
Even though Glorious Presence Church is a young congregation, we have set aside financial support for missionaries from our first meeting. Glorious Presence supports twenty-two missionaries in thirteen foreign countries and the United States. Some are in Africa, some in South America. We support Wycliff Bible Translators, JAARS, Mission Aviation Fellowship, and World Missions Far Corners.
