At Glorious Presence Church, our Sunday worship is at the center of who we are as a church. With anticipation, we gather each week for Spirit-filled worship and relevant biblical preaching. There is a great deal of freedom in worship: clapping, raising hands, kneeling, or even dancing.
We offer two worship services on Sunday morning to allow space for growth and to better serve those with different worship preferences. In the early service, worship is typically led with acoustic guitars and piano. At our second service, we are led by an energetic, modern worship band. The same biblical message is preached at both services by an elder from the pastoral team. Sunday School for children in the nursery through 5th grade is offered at our 10:30 service.
Sunday School and Nursery
Child care and Sunday School are offered at our 10:30 a.m. service. At Glorious Presence Church, we believe our children are a vital part of our community. Involving children in our corporate worship can be instructional and encouraging for both of them and us. With this in mind, our children remain with us for the first part of worship.
Each week, children are dismissed through an announcement appearing on the projector screen at about 11:00 a.m. This minimizes the disturbance to the flow of worship. A message will appear dismissing the teachers, followed by the children. We ask that the parents wait for the message concerning children before giving them permission to be dismissed.
Teachers of our Sunday School prepare lessons each week for the FaithWeavers curriculum by Group Publishing. This Christ-centered curriculm is unique in that Kindergarten through Fifth Grade all study the same lesson. This allows parents to easily reinforce the lesson throughout the week with all of their children.
The breakdown and location of classes are as follows:
- Nursery (under 2 yrs. old): 3rd Building; adjacent to the lobby
- Pre-School (2 & 3 yr. olds): 1st Building; lower level
- Pre-K & Kindergarten (4 & 5 yr. olds): 1st Building; lower level
- Grades 1 & 2: 1st Building; lower level
- Grades 3 & 4: 2nd Building; second floor
- Grade 5: 2nd Building; first floor
